About the Bistrot des Sports

Founded in the 1920s under the name Brasserie de la Poste, the Bistrot des Sports has been part of the valley's history: the first Winter Olympics in 1924, legendary mountaineers, guides, and visitors.

Roger Frison-Roche, a famous French mountaineer and writer, even owned the Bistrot des Sports.

Today, Pierre and Xavier, who took over the bistro in 2020, continue this tradition of hospitality and conviviality, with a passionate team committed to the spirit of the mountains and cuisine.

In terms of atmosphere, the spirit of the place has been preserved. Carved woodwork, red banquettes, antiques and old photos of Chamonix recall the history of the place, while the bar brings locals and vistors together over a beer.
